Who We Are

Dr. Audrey Maiurano, DDS – Dentist and Owner

Dr. Audrey Maiurano grew up in Burke, Virginia, and is a proud Bruin from Lake Braddock High School. During her high school and college years, she interned for her childhood dentist, Dr. John P. DeMorro. This experience nurtured her love for dentistry, recognizing its intricate blend of art and profound ability to positively impact lives.

After completing her undergraduate studies at Bishop's University with degrees in Biology and Psychology, Dr. Maiurano went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Dentistry. She subsequently worked as an associate dentist in Fairfax. Embracing her roots, Dr. Maiurano gratefully assumed ownership of Dr. DeMorro's practice in Springfield, where the office is situated today.

She is an esteemed member of both the American Dental Association and the Virginia Dental Association. In her free time, she indulges in painting, drawing, cooking, and cherishes moments with her husband and two children.

She is a multitasking maven and deeply cares about the well being of our patients. Carmen is an integral part of our team and helps bring a balance to our office like no other.

From the moment you step in, Carmen's welcoming smile at the front desk sets the tone. She manages appointment schedules, ensuring there's ample time for each patient without making anyone feel rushed.

Mervat – Dental Assistant

Mervat is our exceptional dental assistant. She is hardworking, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable in the field of dentistry. She works hard to make sure your visit is comfortable. Mervat has a wonderful sense of humor and is a fantastic cook. She centers her life with her family, God, and her strong community of friends and colleagues.

Mervat is the reassuring presence next to you, ensuring that everything is adjusted just right and instinctively handing Dr. Maiurano instruments right as she needs them. She takes x-rays with utmost care, always asking about your comfort. When procedures are underway, she's the one offering a comforting hand squeeze or a reassuring word, making the experience more serene.

Sandra – Registered Dental Hygienist

Sandra is our scaling queen. She can remove tartar like no other. She is thorough and light-handed. With her can-do attitude, Sandra makes our days bright while being a wonderful team member. Sandra has a great sense of humor, tolerates the doctor talking too much, and is dedicated to doing the best for her patients. She loves her family, her friends, and her dog, Teddy.
